Wooden Block Snowmen

Wooden Block Snowmen from Denise on a Whim
As I sit at the computer, the snow is blowing outside my window.
I, for one, am not ready for winter weather.
But what do you do?
Especially when you live in Michigan and have lake effect snow on an almost daily basis!

They've been talking about snow for over a week so it comes as no surprise.
And I guess you just have to embrace it and deal!

Well, I'm dealing by making snowmen!
Like the wooden block snowmen I'm sharing with you today.
You may remember my 2x4 snowmen from last year.
I made more for an upcoming show I'm in this weekend.Wooden Block Snowmen from Denise on a Whim
They're just so easy!

 Cut up a 2x4.

Sand the edges and add a little paint.

This time, I used dowels and glue to attach the snowmen to the bottom block.
But last year I only used wood glue and they held up just fine, too.

Add a little cute fabric for scarves.
The pair above has scarves made from a thrift store shirt.
And the little guys below with the blue gingham
got their scarves from some thrift store napkins.

Guess if it's gonna snow (and it most definitely is!)
you might as well make a snowman!

Let's keep in touch...
Your comments make me smile :) 'Til next time!
